Parent Reminder: Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures
Dear Winters ISD Parents and Guardians,
As we begin the new school year, we want to take a moment to remind everyone of our morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. The safety of our students is our highest priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and organized arrival and dismissal process.
The areas identified on the attached map are the official and designated drop-off and pick-up locations for students. Parents and guardians are asked to use ONLY these designated areas when dropping off or picking up students.
Please be aware that if you choose to drop off or pick up your student in an area that is not an official designated location, there may be NO school personnel supervising students who are required to cross streets or walk through traffic areas. This creates a significant safety concern for our students.
For the safety of your child, please:
Use only the designated drop-off and pick-up areas identified on the map.
Do not drop students off in unauthorized locations.
Do not ask students to cross streets or parking areas without adult supervision.
Follow all traffic patterns and directions provided by school personnel.
Remain patient and follow the procedures even when traffic is congested.
We understand that arrival and dismissal can be busy times, and we appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation. Our goal is to ensure that every student arrives at school safely and is dismissed safely to their parent, guardian, or authorized adult.
Please remember: Designated drop-off and pick-up areas are established for a reason—they allow our staff to properly supervise students and help keep everyone safe.
