Principal

Marcy Huffman

My name is Marcy Huffman, and I am the proud principal of Winters Elementary. We have the best kids and staff around, and I am so excited to have found my home here. I graduated from Texas Tech University (Wreck ‘Em!) with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. I attended the University of Texas at Arlington to earn my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I am entering my 15th year in education and have served as a teacher, coach, interventionist and assistant principal in districts all over the state.
I am married with one son, and having grown up in a small town, I am thrilled to get to finish raising my son in a small town.

My goal is to provide a safe, loving, challenging environment where every student can learn and grow to his/her full potential. We are raising a generation of world-changers, and the foundation for their dreams begins here!  Our partnership with parents and the community is imperative, and I appreciate the warm welcome and support we have already gotten from the community. Go Blizzards!

Counselor

Justin Williams

My name is Justin Williams, and I have the awesome privilege of serving the students of Winters Elementary as counselor! This is my 6th year as a Blizzard and my 16th year as an elementary educator.  I completed my bachelor's degree at University of North Texas in Denton, TX and my Master of Education degree in Guidance and Counseling at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I taught 5th grade Math and Science for 10 years.  Though I live in Abilene, I look forward to driving to Winters every day, because I know the quality of the students, staff and community! I absolutely love my job! I decided to become a school counselor, because I know all students come from different circumstances, and it gives me the opportunity to inspire and affect the lives of young men and young women to positively impact their world, wherever life might take them. I love using my skills to help students across grade levels become successful and achieve their potential. It's great to be a Blizzard!
